SEX

what a hot topic!

since i am so free, relaxing at home, i could manage to sneak some time watching some tv shows.
after flipping, changing a few channels, here i got stucked my eyes to one of the talk shows. there got few discussion topics, hot ones, to the celebrities and the crowds. good leh, very infomative lorrrr....

one of the questions was, "where did you get sex education previously?"

aiyooo yor!
how to answer this leh?

back to my old old time, i didnt have chance to get it from my parents. not as priviledge as the girls, mostly they will get this knowledge from their mums. eh, what not the fathers teaches their boys...

many, will just shy away.

talk about sex, come on lah... it is like, after a shoot of heavy liquour, adrenaline pumping, red-cherry flush...
it is like a forbiden topic, internal conflict... many are shy to voice it out, but dying wish to know it...

my answer,
it is a secret...

haha! malu lah...

==================================================================================

i met this patient in my clinic today.

an old 'yellow-skinned' guy, with some heart disease, which need to take warfarin (a medicine) everyday in order to make his blood more 'cair'. in other words, it is to prevent blood from clotting.

he has been taking it for years. but hor, he misses the medicine frequently too... he will take it whenever he feels like it, not bothering of what-so-ever outcomes.

of course, he claimed to be compliant to the medication all these while. but, the blood results always in not-so-good level all these while too.

unfortunately he met me today...

pakcik: aku makan tiap-tiap hari lor...
me: betul ke???
pakcik: betul, betul!
me: lepas tu, apa pasal itu darah tak cantik!
pakcik: eh..... (blank face)
me: kenapa ponteng ubat?
pakcik: eh.... (pause even longer)
me: @#$#$%^^&*
pakcik: hehe heeee
me: lu mau mati ke!!!
pakcik: haha hah! (still laughing)
me: tiu...

after all, it is just purely ignorance...

to treat them, what is the point?
to save all the craps, it is better to shake up their brains first...

"sungai kurus"

here i am.

i am at Slim River Hospital, as a medical officer.
after 18 months of working like a dog, how a relief after completing the housemanship. not long, but it was a dragging, unhealthy period. basically i was working everyday, 365 days a year, unless taking my leave. (somehow weekend also counted as official leave in some departments)

but now, i am no more houseman...

what i get now?
do less work... get more respect from the team members (like those medical assistants, nurses etc)... more time to lepak...

however, more responsibility... more chances to get scolded from bosses (if making mistake)... need to contribute more to work...

so what!

most important thing, i am out of HO's life...

WOAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

Wednesday, May 07, 2008

15/5/08

brain-drain

it is definitely a sensitive issue to our society, no one mentions about the 'special treatment' of bumis, but the quota system which exist here for loooong long time...

i came across an article, titled "why bother waking up 3am to study" by a disappointed student, there are many more such talented useful people out there got into such situation.

those who studied so hard, achieved got scores in their exams; but poorly recognize by the government here... as mentioned, this land ‘Only 10% non-bumis are allowed’. what ever we do, there will be such quota system applied to it, directly or indirectly. no one, yes no one, can question about it.

the victims, the yellow- and dark-skin people. these are the 10% in the quota.
racism? it is always here, co-exist in everyone's blood.
what can the 10% do?

please dont get me wrong... i am not trying to create havoc, or negative ideology here. i dont want to get caught in ISA....

whose fault is it???

it is unfair to blame those people who refused or reluctant to come back home to work and contribute to this lousy-system country. to be frank, the moon other than Malaysia is much brighter and bigger... these people get more recognition, and of course money if compared what we can get over here.

should they to be blamed for this?
'tepuk dada, tanya diri'... if i have the same opportunity, i will leave this country too. what if......

so, why can we 'plug' this on-going brain-draining?

no way... it is the system fault!

yup! i will be leaving.... one day!!!
feel sick with this system!

MAYday.....

after the 308 political tsunami, everyone seems to response to the public calling...

the politicians become more active, more sensitive, more extroverted, and more daring in actions... WAH!

many political issues came into surface with the new management teams. from the desperate housewives to the monkey and bigfoot issues, it shows how naive our politician are...

i dont know much, but from my little knowledge, all these are due to the egoism of the politicians and of course related with the money matters.
if you still dont get what i mean of the issues mentioned above... let humble me to explain abit ah...

the wives of the politicians (of the formal state governments) of the Mutiara (Penang) and the Merah-kuning state (Selangor) diverted the money of their organisations into other accounts after the tsunami. in short, this act was to prevent the new government to get this money. so they are named as desperate housewives lorrrr...
the current state administrators claimed it was unlawful and unethical, on other party pulak claimed it was within the right and legally right for such action. then the more desperadooo housewife got into 'fire' and challenge for public debate. wah sai... dont play-play with the hot hot women, they got fire now leh! so the gentlemen tuned down abit and let the 'fire' to cool down abit lor... of course lar, being gentlemen shound let the ladies one mah.

then the politicians were shouting 'u monkey' and 'u bigfoot' to each other during the shameful 'live' show of parliament broadcasting. since when our so-called gentle, and soft-spoken culture behave like a barbarian... shame, shame lar. next step, they will probably fight in the parliament pulak, something like in the Taiwan's one. what is the point!
these are people elected by the 'rakyat', representing the 'rakyat' to voice the appropriate concerns, carrying a so-called VIP or Yang Berhormat status... but not to be uncivilized, paleolitic-like culture. again, this is NOT our culture!!!

mayday, mayday....
calling for those concerned, and responsible YB (a true Yang Berkhidmat ones),
please do something!

"people dont care how much you know, until they know how much you care."
the rakyat need you!

blood-sucking monster...

i came across one article from today's newspaper, titled as 'Hospital review apt in costly times', mentioned that removal of the fish bone stuck in the throat cost RM 3000 in one of the private hospitals. wah! for sure the patient would be choked again the the amount paid just for that tiny miny fish bone...

yes, it is way too expensive...

here, there is another true story.

not long ago. ehhmmm, just two days back. i got a patient came to my locum clinic after being injured by the ceiling fan. he sustained two superficial laceration wounds over the forehead and left temporal region of the kepala...
to cut the story short, i did suturing to this patient. a total of 14 stitches over the kelapa... and of course, the small boy was shouting and screaming for pain...
job done... and guess what, total bill is RM 560.00.

what, RM560!!!

as for clarification, i do not involved over the bills. the clinic in-charge will decide the amount of charges for the patient all the while. so for the locum doctor, i just see the patient...

but, why is it so much???
according from my nurse, these include the charges of 14 stitches (which i did one), the medications (injection and take home one), and the two-view Xrays.

do you think all the private sector will charge like this ah???
it really sounds like a blood-sucker...

what if this patient just has it done in the government hospital, he will just need to pay less the RM5 or even free, for student, for the same service. see! this is a huge amount of difference. but with the same service... because hoh, the same people are doing the things too. just that different people get the earning.

back to the story,
how much did i get for my service?
NO, nothing extra... ceh!

====================================================================================

it has been an issue of the public for the enormous charges from the private health care sector. but then hoh, it seems that the in-charge one (of course our government) cant penetrate the problem for many many years... once a while, they (again, the government) will announce something, just like lip-playing game, talk only but no action taken after.
so here we are, back to square one...

solution...
kindly please refer to my superior... (my tua-tau-keh, government lah!)

woahahaha!
